OSM Thome is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance & Accounting team.
As a global leader in ship management, OSM Thome delivers safe, efficient and transparent services to our customers worldwide. To support our continued growth, we are strengthening our financial capabilities within vessel accounting and are seeking a Finance Manager to play a key role in driving financial performance and control.
About the role
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for a portfolio of vessels within your operational unit. You will ensure high-quality customer reporting, maintain strong financial control, and support business decision-making through relevant financial insights.
The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Technical and Business Development teams, as well as regular interaction with customers.
Main responsibilities
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including budgets and forecasts
• Manage customer financial follow-up and conduct regular financial reviews
• Monitor vessel funding and cash flow, including follow-up on outstanding balances
• Analyse and optimise OPEX performance across vessels
• Support budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Drive improvements in processes and vessel accounting practices
• Lead and develop the vessel accounting team
• Contribute to achieving financial KPIs and business targets
Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
• Experience from maritime finance / vessel accounting is preferred
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and cost control
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel
