The office location may be Kristiansand or Oslo; however, for the right candidate, there may also be an opportunity to work remotely.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
• Develop and maintain software modules powering remote operation, autonomy assistance, and machine interfacing
• Work closely with robotics, autonomy, and integration teams to translate system requirements into reliable, scalable code
• Implement real-time communication pipelines between machine sensors, controllers, and cloud services
• Collaborate with QA to ensure every integration meets quality, reliability, and regulatory expectations
• Contribute to building robust software systems
• Participate in system architecture, code reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
• Support deployment, testing, and debugging
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, QT
• Experience with modern software design, testing, and version control
• Experience with deployment processes, including knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Proficiency in handling camera and audio streams, including capturing, processing, and streaming multimedia data. Familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks for multimedia processing.
• Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams
• Network experience is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Cybernetics, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience delivering production-quality software
• Proficient in English
