Overall Goals
Act as a host in the lounge, providing excellent service to guests throughout their stay, and offering information and tips about the destination. As a Host, you always adhere to Scandic’s values, policies, and Code of Conduct, and you comply with the Scandic Go Employee Handbook.
Reports to Hospitality Manager
Main Responsibilities
• Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with check-in and answer questions as needed.
• Complete and verify items on the daily checklist, including guest arrivals and tasks related to check-ins and check-outs.
• Assist guests with check-out as necessary.
• Verify guest identification upon arrival/check-in.
• Manage incoming emails and phone calls directed to the hotel.
• Sales of food and beverage offerings, including alcoholic beverages.
• Preparation of breakfast and snack offerings.
• Order food supplies in accordance with forecasted needs, ensuring cost-efficiency and minimal waste.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of the lounge bar and lounge area (including areas beyond the lounge).
Responsibilities and Authority
• Check deliveries upon receipt and reconcile them with the accompanying documents.
• Act in case of alarms such as fire, security, and accessible rooms.
• Follow current safety procedures.
• Follow procedures for food handling.
• Report risks, incidents, and workplace accidents to the immediate management.
• Responsible for serving alcohol in accordance with current alcohol legislation and Scandic's procedures.
Collaboration and Communication
• Collaborate with all colleagues and managers.
• Stay informed by accessing information, keeping up to date, and seeking relevant information regarding your own tasks and the hotel's other operations.

Experience and qualifications we would like you to have and share with us:
• A vocational certificate as a receptionist or experience from a similar role within the service industry
• Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages and English
