Stillingsbeskrivelse
Be part of the opening of the very first Scandic Go in Norway – Night Host
We are opening a brand-new hotel with a completely new concept, and the very first Scandic Go in Norway will open on March 3rd. We are now looking for a Night Host who wants to be part of the opening team and help build a safe, welcoming, and smooth guest experience during the night.
As a Night Host at Scandic Go, you play a key role in ensuring that the hotel runs smoothly, safely, and professionally overnight. You are the main point of contact for our guests during the night, handling late check-ins and early check-outs, assisting guests with questions or needs, and ensuring a calm and secure atmosphere throughout the hotel.
You will receive full training and onboarding before the hotel opens, and we aim for employment ahead of the opening, with an ideal start date around mid-February.
The position follows a week-on / week-off schedule, providing a predictable and balanced work rhythm.
The role is hands-on and operational, combining guest service with responsibility and independence. In addition to night routines and guest handling, you are responsible for preparing a simple breakfast for the following morning, ensuring it is ready for guests.
The lounge bar is open 24/7, and during the night you may also prepare simple food items if guests place orders. All food preparation is straightforward and handled in line with food safety routines.
Your responsibilities also include managing emails and phone calls, completing nightly checklists, ensuring cleanliness and order in the lounge and common areas, preparing the hotel for the next day, and acting in accordance with safety, security, emergency, food handling, and alcohol procedures. You report any incidents, risks, or deviations as required.
As a Night Host, you always act in line with Scandic’s values, policies, and Code of Conduct, and follow the Scandic Go Employee Handbook. You report to the Hospitality Manager and collaborate closely with the wider hotel team to ensure a seamless guest experience across all shifts.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes responsibility, and values creating a safe, calm, and welcoming environment – even when the hotel is sleeping.
Experience and qualifications we would like you to have and share with us:
• Experience from a similar role within hospitality, service, or front office
• Good English skills (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages is an advantage
Personal qualities we are looking for:
• Service-minded, reliable, and quality-focused
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions
• Calm and structured, even in unexpected situations
• Able to handle responsibility and night-time operations
This is a permanent, full-time night position with a week-on / week-off night shift schedule.
We value diversity and inclusion in our workplace and encourage all qualified candidates to apply, regardless of background or ability. We are happy to discuss any needs or accommodations that may support you in succeeding in this role.
