Specialist in Internal Medicine to Northern Norway
Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Emergency medicine or General Internal Medicine
We are seeking qualified specialists in internal medicine -- or in one of its subspecialties such as cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, emergency medicine or general internal medicine -- to join an established and welcoming medical department at a modern hospital in Northern Norway.
The department of internal medicine and the emergency unit form a combined clinical team, creating a highly dynamic and collegial environment. The staff includes consultants, experienced residents doctors and interns who collaborate closely across professional areas. The patient population includes a broad spectrum of conditions such as cardiology, lung diseases, infections, geriatrics, oncology and gastroenterology.
You will play a key role in patient management, diagnostics and treatment, as well as mentoring resident doctors and interns. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to internal education, quality improvement projects and the further development of clinical services.

Main duties
• Clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients within internal medicine.
• Participation in on-call rotation within the department.
• Collaboration with other hospital departments and primary care services.
• Contribution to internal education and professional development activities.
Qualifications
• Medical degree and specialist certification in internal medicine or subspecialty from an EU/EEA country.
• Registration or eligibility for Norwegian medical authorization (we can assist with the process).
• Broad clinical experience and competence in acute internal medicine.
• Motivation to learn Norwegian (free language training provided).
Personal qualities
• Professional, collaborative, and reliable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to remain calm and solution-oriented in acute situations.
• Interest in teaching and developing colleagues.
